Congratulations to Forum B and Forum A - champions and runners-up respectively
in Division 1 last season. Congratulations also to Vikings E and Forum C in Division 2, Witney A and Forum E in Division 3 and Forum J and St James in Division 4.

Some big changes for next season:
- two rule changes were agreed at the AGM (see below)
- the ETTA individual registration procedure comes in this year.

The Hard Bat Competition Karl Bushell won the main event, and Pete Hargreaves again won the Plate competition.
Wednesday - Top Player Practice
Karl will open the Pavilion each Wednesday for top player practice and training during the Summer months. Karl has recently completed his UKCC level II coaching badge and has been nominated by the ETTA to take part on a level III course. Players can either play matches, practice or take part in coaching exercises. Times and dates - 7.30-9.30 each Wednesday 5 May until end August
Cost £3 non members, £1.50 members
Thursday Junior Academy - Talented and promising young players
The academy will run as normal from 7.30 - 9.00 during the month of April.
From May until the end of the school holidays, we will run a session from 7.00-8.00 Cost £2

Rule Changes for the coming 2010/11 season

Old Rule 14:
No trophies awarded to winners of competitions organized by the Association may be taken out of the area controlled by the Association as defined in the Constitution, unless consent be first obtained. All trophies must be returned to the Trophies Secretary as least fourteen days prior to the competition date. District competition trophies must be returned one month before the competition date. Failure to do either will result if a fine*.
In the event of any trophies being mislaid, stolen or not returned to the Trophies Secretary, then in any such case the Club whose member won the Trophy shall be responsible for the cost of replacement of the Trophy.
Rule 14 now becomes:

Players having made three or more appearances for any one team shall not be eligible to play for a lower team without a transfer being granted by the committee. They may, however, play twice in each of the higher teams in the same club but on a third appearance shall be deemed to have been promoted to that position. A third appearance shall not take place in the last four matches of the season. In addition they may play twice for any other team of their club in the same division, not more than one substitute to play in a team in any one match.
Rule 3b now becomes:

Players will only be eligible to play for a higher team in the same club providing that that team is in a higher division; ie players cannot play for another team of the same club, if the two teams are in the same division; this applies to all but the lowest division of the league.
